As a competitive swimmer, runner, and marathoner, founder Jake Carmen relied
on granola bars as everyday fuel for training, races, and long endurance days.
Over time, he became increasingly aware of the processed ingredients, excessive
sugars, preservatives, and shortcuts commonly found in products marketed as “healthy.”
After discovering his own food sensitivities in late 2024,
he began reimagining what a better bar could be — one rooted in
clean ingredients, thoughtful formulation, and uncompromising taste.
Gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and soy-free, each recipe was developed
with intention, using organic ingredients and nutrient-rich superfoods
that nourish as beautifully as they satisfy.
From local farmers markets to cafés, gyms, and wellness communities across Los Angeles, Bakeman’s continues to grow through shared values, trust, and authentic human connection.
